Presentation Abstract
In February 2010, Intel and Nokia announced MeeGo, a merger of the best of Moblin and the best of Maemo. This seminar explores what makes MeeGo a great platform for developing devices with rich user experiences. An overview of the MeeGo architecture and open source components will be provided together with the targeted segments of Netbooks, Connected TVs, Handsets, IVI and Media phones. There will be a brief overview of the MeeGo compliance program. The Qt Development Framework will form the basis for the application APIs for MeeGo applications. Attendees will see a live demonstration of how to create and debug a MeeGo application using the the Qt Creator development tools. They will see how applications can be developed on a desktop and easily re-deployed on different embedded devices.
