Nokia launches new Qt bug tracking system
New system enables improved collaboration with the community through new features and closer communication with Qt development team.
Oslo, 27 October 2009 – Nokia today announced the release of a new and improved Qt bug tracking system. The new system is designed to improve communication between the Qt community and the Qt development team. The new Qt Bug Tracker is available now at http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com.
The Qt Bug Tracker replaces the previously used Qt Task Tracker. All bugs have been imported into the new system and redirects have been created to ensure existing users of Qt Task Tracker do no lose track of their bugs. The new Qt Bug Tracker allows users to:
- Create an online account
- Enter new bug reports
- Track progress of existing bugs and bugfixes
- Create filters to track specific types of bugs
- Contribute to discussions with other Qt users and Qt developers around bugfixes
- Access the same database used by Qt developers
The Qt Bug Tracker is intended as a public issue tracking system, and is neither a Qt support channel nor a place to contribute code to Qt. Qt customers looking for Qt support should do so through the Customer Portal, and developers who would like to contribute code to Qt should do so through http://qt.gitorious.org.
A getting started guide for the Qt Bug Tracker is available in the Qt Developer Zone.
