Qt 4.5 Release Candidate Available
Available now for download, testing and feedback.
Oslo - 05 February 2009 - Qt Software today issued a Release Candidate of Qt 4.5 – the upcoming version of its
cross-platform application framework for desktop and embedded development.
Preview packages are now available for download, testing and feedback. Qt 4.5 is scheduled for final release in March 2009.
The Release Candidate provides a final chance for testing and feedback of major new features in Qt 4.5:
- Broad improvements to the runtime performance of Qt based applications
- Upgrade to the latest version of WebKit, allow Qt users to realize the web rendering engine's full potential
- Futureproofing Qt users' investments on the Mac® platform with added 64-bit support

Download the Release Candidate
The Qt 4.5 Release Candidate is available under both the GPL and a special Beta license. LGPL licensed Qt 4.5 packages will not be available until the final release of Qt 4.5.0 in March.
