Qt 4.6 and Qt Creator 1.3 Release Candidates Available
Provide last opportunity for feedback before final releases.
Oslo, 17 November 2009 – Nokia today made available Release Candidates of Qt 4.6: the upcoming new version of its cross-platform application and UI framework; and Qt Creator 1.3; the upcoming new version of its cross platform Qt IDE for download, testing and feedback. The Release Candidates provide a final chance to preview and give feedback on new features before final launch later in Q4 2009. Both releases are available for download at qt.nokia.com/downloads.
Development of Qt 4.6 and Qt Creator 1.3 is focused on achieving three key objectives, allowing developers to:
- Target new platforms with Qt applications including Windows 7 and Symbian.
- Create new and exciting user experiences with advanced graphics effects, animations and multi-touch.
- Deliver better application performance across desktop and embedded platforms.

How to Provide Feedback
All feedback from the Qt user community is highly valued and extensive use and testing of the new features in Qt 4.6 and Qt Creator 1.3 is encouraged. Qt users are invited to share feedback via Qt mailing lists, the Qt Bug Tracker system, or by contributing their own bug fixes via the open Qt repositories at http://qt.gitorious.org.
