Qt 4.7 Release Candidate Available

Oslo, 26 August 2010 – Nokia today made available a Release Candidate of Qt 4.7: the upcoming new version of its cross-platform application and UI framework.  This release provides a final opportunity to try the framework components of Qt Quick – the new high-level UI technology that enables developers and designers to work together to create animated, touch enabled UIs – before the final release of Qt 4.7.

Qt Creator and Qt Quick

Changes to Qt Creator release plans will see the full Qt Quick solution being introduced in two phases. Qt 4.7.0 will bring the framework components of Qt Quick – the QML language and Qt Declarative – while the first release of the tooling components of Qt Quick can be expected with Qt Creator 2.1 in Q4 2010.
