Preliminary support for development targeting the Symbian platform

Qt Creator 1.3 introduces the initial steps toward establishing Qt and Qt Creator as the standard for mobile development.  Developers using the Qt Creator 1.3 Release Candidate on Windows together with the Qt 4.6 Release Candidate including the new Qt port to the Symbian platform^{(Read more)} can test out and provide feedback on these preliminary* new features:

• Support for building Qt-based applications with the winscw toolchain, and for devices with gcce and rvct toolchains
  
• Running Qt-based applications on the device

*Please Note: These new features are preliminary, and are not intended for production use.  The primary aim of Qt Creator 1.3 is to allow Symbian developers to familiarize themselves with Qt Creator and provide feedback that will help us improve Symbian support in future versions of Qt Creator.

Bugs in pre-release versions of Qt Creator 1.3 can be reported using the Qt Bug Tracker system.  When reporting a bug, please be sure to select Qt Creator 1.3 prerelease as the version number.
