Panasonic, one of the largest electronic product manufacturers in the world, chose to use Qt to power its KX-WP1050 Wi-Fi phone for Skype™, the popular Voice Over IP communications service that allows point-to-point calling around the world. This model comes as part of an Executive Travel Set with travel router, which allows the user to create Wi-Fi hotspots whenever there is a broadband internet connection available. This new model offers the range and security of WPA encrypted Wi-Fi technology, as well as Quality of Service (QoS) to improve voice quality. It features an easy menu-driven operation, and a loud handset speakerphone, as well as a built-in headset jack for those long international calls.
