George Staikos was the founder and president of Torch Mobile Inc., a company that created embedded web browsers and related software solutions. Since the sale of Torch Mobile. in August 2009, George has worked at Research In Motion Ltd., where his current role is Vice President of Web Technologies. George is widely known for his substantial contributions to various open source initiatives, including the K Desktop Environment (KDE) and WebKit. This work greatly influenced the direction of Torch Mobile and provided a foundation for the web browsers embedded in many phones and other devices available today. George has been developing software with Qt since 1998.

Internet since 1998. With more than a billion registered accounts, QQ is
the Internet in China for many people. As China also has the largest

Vigo Zhang, senior director of Wireless Business of Tencent, Vigo
joined Tencent in 2006, and was focused on business cooperation with
mobile devices manufactures. Since October 2009, Vigo has been
responsible for Wireless Cooperation Development Department, including
business development team, Tencent mobile services customization team
and the management of its regional markets in China. Vigo received his
Master of Computer System Degree in XI'AN JiaoTong University.

Qt Roadmap, Open Governance and Qt 5
In his keynote, Lars will talk about where he sees Qt heading within
the next year. Open governance brings changes to how Qt will be
developed in the future by giving developers a greater ability to
influence where Qt, as a project, is heading in a more direct way than
ever before. In 2012, the next major Qt version, Qt 5, is planned to be
released under open governance. Qt 5 brings some larger changes in the
Qt architecture, while promising to keep backwards compatibility. Lars
will also cover the functionality which is being considered for the Qt
roadmap.

Lars is the Chief Maintainer for the Qt Project. He previously worked
as the Chief Architect for ASF and led the Qt R&D organization with
teams in Oslo, Berlin and Brisbane in Nokia. Lars had had different
roles in former Trolltech's engineering organization, working his way up
from software engineer to leading the engineering team in Oslo as
Director before taking over the role as Director of Global R&D. Lars
has been an active member of the KDE community and the architect behind
KDE's html rendering library that formed the basis for the WebKit open
source project. Lars holds a PhD in physics from the University of
Heidelberg. A German national, he lives with his family in Oslo.

Rick Spencer is employed by Canonical, Inc. as the Director of Engineering for Ubuntu, one of the worlds most popular Linux Distributions on the Desktop and the Server. As Director, Rick is responsible for all the teams that create the Desktop and Server editions of Ubuntu. A programmer since childhood, Rick has a Master's Degree in Human Factors Engineering that included a specialization in the Psychology of Programming. Rick has applied this knowledge in diverse places such as managing a usability team for Microsoft's Visual Studio and other platforms within Microsoft. Some years back, a passion for Open Source software caused Rick to leave the proprietary software world to focus solely on Open Source projects. Since then, Rick has worked on diverse projects, though mostly related to Ubuntu. In his free time, Rick creates applications for Ubuntu as well projects to make application development easy and fun for new comers to Ubuntu application development.

Louis Gump is vice president of CNN Mobile, responsible for managing CNN's mobile business globally. Named to this position in Jully 2009, Gump is based in CNN's world headquarters in Atlanta.
Recognized internationally as a seasoned leader in the mobile marketplace, Gump directs CNN's mobile strategy and development to meet consumer needs and grow overall reach, usage and revenue. In this capacity, Gump coordinates among divisions to deliver world-class content across multiple mobile platforms including mobile web, downloadable applications, video and messaging.
Before joining CNN, Gump worked at The Weather Channel, where he led their mobile business. Prior to joining The Weather Channel, Gump served as director of business development at ExpoExchange, business development manager at 3MC and consultant for the former Andersen Consulting.
Since 2003, Gump has served on the Board of Directors for the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), where he is past global chairman as well as past global treasurer. Last year, he received MMA's first annual Lifetime Achievement Award for his leadership.
